You Need Your Own Website!
I’m sure you’ve been told or have read over and over again that you do not need a website of your own. In reality, you would be much better off if you have one. The advantages of having your own website may not be apparent right now, but later on as time goes by it will become very clear. Everything from blogging, to building a mailing list or selling products of your own or as an affiliate will be a whole lot simpler if you have your own domain and Web hosting.
Hostgator.com is probably the best-known host provider. They can provide a hosting account for just dollars per month. When you’re just starting out you can choose any level of service you wish, but I recommend anything above the basic service level. I personally use Bluehost.com and have for many years. Their service and prices are simular to be Hostgator.com.
Some other well-known names such as GoDaddy.com also offer hosting but they are better known for registering domain names. For hosting, I would always recommend Hostgator.com or Bluehost.com. Most Internet Marketers use them more than any other host providers. Come up with a unique domain name for your site before signing up. To take a long-term approach the domain name should be fairly broad in scope in case you shift focus. For example, if you name your site BestGolf.com, and then decide to switch and head in a different direction, for example, gardening or blogging as your niche, then you will need a new domain name. So instead, try a more generic name, for example GreatDigitalProducts.com or something like that. You should only use .com or .net but not .me or .org. Most people will assume that your site is .com. Most of the time I try to get .com myself. If you purchase your domain from GoDaddy.com they will have recommendations if the domain name you are trying to register is already taken. I usually use GoDaddy.com in purchasing a domain name but Namedcheap.com is also a good choice. Keep in mind you should never have to pay more than $10 annually to register and keep a domain name.

Newbies at internet marketing are for sure doomed to failure if they try to begin an internet marketing business without a good plan or strategy. |Internet marketing isn’t much different than marketing an offline business. Marketing online utilizes the internet to advertise a product or service to a massive audience through sites, blogs or paid advertisement just as a business owner would market their business using the Yellow Pages, TV Advertisements, Billboards, etc.
Sounds like just what I need – which is why I am here instead of washing my hair and getting dressed.

I wanted to know if the technique in “15 Minute Google Domination” course by Chad Kimball worked for you? I have my doubts about the whole RSS feed tactic working to get traffic to my website.
I clicked on my own RSS feed that ranked in Google (on page 4—not good I know) and I couldn’t make heads or tales of it—I don’t know much about RSS feeds and the average web surfer I think doesn’t either so if I can’t even figure out how to get from the feed to my own website how can I expect a visitor to???

Good advice form your post and the comment above. I started blogging using the free WP platform. Big mistake…I had a blog ranking on page 1 of Google and had the site shut down by WordPress.
To this day I have never been able to find out why, or even get a response to my emails. Lesson learned, and now I only use self hosted sites, except for throwing up some feeder blogs for blog networks to build links. I consider these all toss away sites, and no longer worry abut them being deindexed.
The only piece of advice I can give here is-try not get your domain name from the same hosting coz if somethings goes wrong with the hosting company you still have your domain names.
